It started with one net and a winter problem: nowhere to bat. Thirty years on, the room is bigger, the lanes are better, and the reason hasn’t changed.
One room, one obsession
Cricket in New Jersey lives outdoors for half the year. The other half, it had nowhere to go. So we built a room where the season never ends, the machine never tires, and a player can face a hundred deliveries on a Tuesday night in January.
That room grew into a youth academy, an adult squad, and the BBCL, New Jersey's first league of its kind and now seventy-plus teams strong. Coaching runs deep here. Coach Shake has worked with players up to West Indies international Sherfane Rutherford.

It starts on Jersey grounds
Long before the indoor room, our founder is organizing cricket across New Jersey, when the game had little structure and even less space.
Bat x Ball opens
One room, a roll of turf, and a bowling machine. Jersey cricketers finally get somewhere to bat through the winter.
The BBCL is born
Four teams play the first season of the Bat x Ball Cricket League, the first T20 league of its kind in the area.
Seventy-plus teams
The league now runs Elite and Gold divisions across T20, T30, T10, and a Fall season. Four lanes keep it all sharp.
Three decades in
Same obsession, more overs. Four lanes, open seven days a week, still the place Jersey comes to train.
